Jodi Rhoden, owner of Short Street Cakes on Haywood Road in West Asheville, is a mother, an entrepreneur and a community activist. She also bakes a mean cake.
Big cakes, small cakes, round cakes, square cakes, layer cakes, flourless cakes, wedding cakes, vegan cakes, cupcakes. All created under the slogan, “Fresh, natural, from scratch, with love.”
As it says on the company's website, they "specialize in all-natural, southern-style cakes. We do not create or replicate elaborate designs, but instead create simple, elegant, and beautifully fresh, traditional southern-style cakes that you can be proud of on your wedding day."
